Best Widgets was focused on pushing the bounds of what was possible to achieve with Android widgets by introducing a plethora of technical innovations. The widgets were designed to be fully responsive, adapting to a number of home screen grid sizes; they displayed the current time, date, battery level, weather, and long-term forecast; they supported shortcut customization, and all that, followed by a well-developed weather screen featuring many more details and multi-location support. Unlike many widget packs of the time, Best Widgets supported downloading different visual elements (such as fonts, backgrounds or icons) separately from each other, offering an advanced level of customization. I ensured the design of the widgets and the weather app made the most of the available screen real estate on both phones and tablets.
